How do I find a book?

Answer

The first place you want to go to is the KBCC Library website. Library.kbcc.cuny.edu

Next, go to OneSearch Search box and make sure to click where it says "Define Search" and click on "Books"

Simply type in the title of the book you want to find, it is best if you type in the title using quotation marks. Example: "Of Mice and Men"

Lastly, click on search and the results page will show if we have any copies of the book. Under the title of the book, click on "show available". If it is a "stack" you can borrow it straight from the library, if it says "reserves" it is only loanable for 4 hours and can only be used inside the library. If it states "Available online" click on it and log in with your CUNY Single Sign on(SSO). For information about your CUNY credentials, refer to this FAQ

If you are having trouble getting started and want to speak to a librarian directly, consider calling us at (718)-368-5632 or emailing us at Reference.desk@kbcc.cuny.edu during open library hours. If you want to submit a ticket/question, the button is to the right of this FAQ!
